World Youth Skills Day 2026 – Skills for a Shared Future

The Department of Commerce, Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Tiruchirappalli, successfully organized Day One of the Intradepartmental Competition as part of World Youth Skills Day 2026 under the global theme “Skills for a Shared Future” on 22nd July 2026. The event was conducted from 09:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. at the Computer Lab (416), Seminar Hall (513), and FSH Classrooms.

The event featured AI Comic Design Competition, Poster Presentation Competition, and Banking and Finance Quiz. The AI Comic Design Competition highlighted students' creativity and digital skills through AI as a youth empowerment and skill development initiative. The Poster Presentation Competition accentuated the nuances of presentation and communication skills by encountering new arenas. The Banking and Finance Quiz enhanced students' knowledge in leading-edge economic affairs and monetary capital.

The event was organized by Dr. H. Gayathri, Head, Department of Logistics; Dr. M. Arun Krishna, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science; Dr. M. Nagarajan, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration; and Dr. S. Jafar Sadhik, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, FSH-SRMIST.
