The Department of Commerce has started in the year 2021 as a department; it’s been

recognized as an esteemed member for its significant contributing role in the growth and

development of the College of Science and Humanities. Apart from the conventional

classroom setup, SRM emphasizes practical learning as students participate in case studies,

sessions with industry experts, live projects, etc. The institute’s thrust on meaningful research

is evident through the credentials and accomplishments of its faculty, which has publications

Scopus listed journals of repute. In a short period, SRM has strengthened its position in the

The institution maintains a computerized central library spanning 720 sq m, which is accessible to students. The library caters to the needs of both students and faculties, with a collection of over 15,000 books. Additionally, it subscribes to 80 specialized national journals and reputed newspapers for their benefit. The central library serves as a valuable resource for students to expand their knowledge and expertise.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) - Accounting & Finance


The B.Com in Accounting & Finance at SRMIST FSH is a specialized undergraduate program designed to provide in-depth expertise in core financial areas including Advanced Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, and Taxation. The curriculum is structured to bridge the gap between theoretical business concepts and practical mechanical requirements of the financial industry. It emphasizes high-level accounting standards and global benchmarking practices to prepare students for diverse roles in the corporate sector.



Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) - Information System & Management (ISM)


The B.Com Information System and Management is a unique dual-track program at SRMIST FSH that integrates core commerce subjects with advanced information technology modules. It is designed to develop students& proficiency in both business operations and the technical skills required for modern digital management, such as Database Management Systems (DBMS), Python programming, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). The curriculum focuses on emerging areas like e-commerce, digital marketing, and business analytics, equipping graduates with the ethical values and interactive learning experiences needed to adapt to rapidly changing global business environments.

B.Com. Logistics (Honours)



The B.Com. Logistics (Honours) at SRM Institute of Science and Technology is designed to prepare students for careers in the rapidly growing field of Logistics and Supply Chain Management, which plays a vital role in global trade, manufacturing, e-commerce, and business operations. The Programme is offered in collaboration with the Logistics Sector Skill Council (LSC), established under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) through the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).LSC has designed several apprenticeship-based degree programmes in accordance with the UGC Guidelines, with the primary objective of equipping students with the necessary skills and knowledge for gainful employment at the managerial level in the logistics sector. The programme equips students with industry-relevant knowledge in transportation, warehousing, procurement, operations, and supply chain technologies, along with essential managerial and analytical skills.
