The Faculty of Engineering & Technology, SRMIST, Tiruchirappalli Campus conducted a 3-day Hands-on Workshop on ‘Enabling Technologies: IoT for Future Vision’ for the Advanced learners of II Year B. Tech from 19.01.2023 to 21.01.2023. The Sessions were handled by Mr. Sethuramalingam and Er. Vivekananthan, Technical Trainers from Riyasaa Labs, Nagercoil and Mr. Suresh Kannan and Mr. Maruthupandi, Project Engineers from Vi Microsystems Pvt.Ltd., Chennai. The Students Experimented various IoT mini projects using Embedded Kits such as Raspberry Pi 2040, Arduino, NodeMCU and other boards developed by Riyasaa Labs and Vi Microsystems. 

The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. N. Malmurugan, Director, SRM Group of Institutions, Trichy campus and delivered the Presidential address. He discussed about the future research areas of Internet of Things (IoT). Dr. R. Balasundaram, Associate Dean, felicitated the speakers and discussed about the applications of IoT. Dr. R. Balaji Ganesh, Assistant Professor and Head(CSE-AIML) welcomed the gathering and introduced the trainers of the workshop. Dr. S. Jayasankari, Assistant Professor and Head(CSE) discussed about the importance of Workshop.

Dr. R. Deebalakshmi, AP/CSE-AIML, Dr. V. Nivedita. AP /CSE, Dr. M. Devipriya            coordinated the Hands-on sessions of the workshop. Mr. J. Paul Rajasingh AP/CSE delivered the vote of thanks.
