The Department of Business Administration successfully organized an Alumni Talk on "Career Pathways – From Campus to Corporate" on July 29, 2025, through Webex. The session witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 134 students, who gained valuable insights into career readiness and corporate expectations. The guest speaker, Ms. Judit Jeya Princy, an alumna of the BBA (2021–2024) batch and currently serving as an IT Support Intern – SAP and Service Desk at Canadian Retail Operations, shared her journey from academics to the international corporate environment.


The talk addressed vital areas including:


  • Navigating the transition from college life to the corporate world
  • First-hand experiences in international IT support environments
  • Key competencies for excelling in global operations and service desk roles
  • The importance of early skill-building and professional preparedness during college


The session fostered inspiration and practical awareness among students, helping them understand the expectations of the professional world and motivating them to shape their career paths proactively. The talk was well-received by participants, who appreciated the real-world insights and the encouraging tone of the session. The alumni engagement proved impactful, providing a relatable success story and offering actionable guidance to students preparing for life beyond the classroom.

DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE SKETCH AND SPEAK: BASICS OF ACCOUNTING - 30.07.2025 The Department of Commerce organized an engaging and interactive session titled "Sketch and Speak: Basics of Accounting" on 30th July 2025. The event targeted I B.Com (Accounting and Finance) students and aimed to deepen their understanding of accounting principles using innovative visual methods. It encouraged creativity, critical thinking, and confidence in communication —contributing meaningfully to inclusive and equitable quality education. Objectives To reinforce core accounting concepts through visual representations. To build communication confidence in students by encouraging them to explain accounting principles creatively. To foster active participation through sketch-based learning and collaborative activities. This academic activity supports the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals SDG 4 – Quality Education The session promoted inclusive, equitable, and quality education through creative teaching methods that catered to diverse learning styles. Target 4.4: Increase the number of youth with relevant skills for employment and entrepreneurship. SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth By fostering foundational commerce and accounting skills along with soft skills such as communication and teamwork, the session supported the development of a future-ready workforce. Target 8.6: Reduce the proportion of youth not in employment, education or training. SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals The event demonstrated collaborative efforts within the institution (faculty-student partnerships) to build a more dynamic and skills-focused educational ecosystem. The “Sketch and Speak” session successfully turned traditional accounting teaching into a dynamic, participative, and creative learning experience. It not only contributed to academic learning but also aligned with global education and skill development goals under the SDG framework. The Department of Commerce is committed to conducting more such student centric, SDG-linked initiatives in the future.

As a part of the Students’ Co-curricular Activities, the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Science and Humanities successfully conducted a creative and purposeful event titled "Poster Making Competition: Innovate to Educate"—inspired by the UN Sustainable Development Goals SDG 4 and SDG 9. A total of 30 Teams actively participated, channeling their creativity to depict educational and technological innovations that drive inclusive growth and smarter infrastructures. Key Outcomes: * Students showcased innovative ideas for smart education and inclusive technologies. * Posters reflected a clear link between digital infrastructure and quality learning. * Use of symbols, icons, and slogans enhanced visual storytelling. * Emphasis on modular poster designs, suitable for academic displays and social media.
