College of Occupational Therapy, SRMIST, Tiruchirapalli Campus, celebrated International Day of Yoga 2024 with the theme of “YOGA FOR SELF AND SOCIETY” conducted at Manitham Trust Old Age Home and Children Home, Trichy on 22^nd June 2024. The day started with an enthusiastic gathering with the senior citizens of TRUST to celebrate the day. Dr.D.Suresh, the Dean of the College of Occupational Therapy SRM- IST Trichy, gave the welcome Address and inaugurated the International Yoga Day celebration. Mr.Jagir Hussain, Director of Manitham Charitable Trust felicitated the celebration by reinforcing keywords and ideas about yoga

Dr.Manikam, Physical Director of SRMIST gave instructions to do yoga, important asanas, and postures taught to the aged people. around 35 inmates actively participated in the yoga program. The occupational Therapy family went to the digital school Tution centre which is run by Manitham charitable Trust to celebrate yoga day. About 50 children participated in doing asanas and activities which was instructed by Dr. D. Manikam and Ms.Priya.
