The future of computing is fostered by the School of Computing Technologies. The school's mission is to advance, develop, and improve the foundations of computer science and engineering in order to contribute to society's intellectual capital. The school aspires to be a significant hub for computers and its applications development on a regional, national, and worldwide scale. It is succeeding by staying abreast of current developments and exhibiting signs of explosive and exponential expansion. Throughout their studies, the students are exposed to a wide range of opportunities, including workshops, internships, and in-plant training. The school is very open to highly promising initiatives including faculty development programs, industry-based joint project creation, hackathons, semester-abroad programs, NSS, etc. on a regular basis.

The School of Computing at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Tiruchirappalli, is committed to nurturing innovative professionals equipped with strong technical knowledge, analytical ability, and ethical values.

At the School of Computing, we offer a comprehensive range of undergraduate programs including B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Blockchain Technology, Internet of Things, Data Science, Big Data Analytics, Medical Engineering, and Information Technology.

The curriculum establishes a strong foundation in fundamental computing disciplines including algorithms, data structures, operating systems, computer networks, database systems, software engineering, theory of computation, distributed systems, and cloud architectures, empowering students to develop efficient, scalable, and secure software and computing systems. This foundation supports specialization in advanced domains such as machine learning, deep learning, cybersecurity, blockchain technologies, Internet of Things (IoT), and large-scale data analytics. Students gain practical exposure through laboratory-intensive learning, industry projects, internships, certifications, hackathons, and interdisciplinary research, enabling them to design scalable, secure, and intelligent solutions for real-world challenges

We also offer industry-integrated programs such as Computer Science and Business Systems, Software Product Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence and Future Technologies in collaboration with leading technology partners to enhance industry readiness and product development skills.

At the postgraduate level, M.Tech programs in Computer Science and Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning provide advanced knowledge and research opportunities in intelligent systems, advanced analytics, and secure computing.
