
The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great pride and patriotic fervor on 26th January at SRM Institute of Science and Technology. The celebration was organized in the university premises with enthusiastic participation from faculty members, students, NCC cadets, and administrative staff. The program commenced in the morning with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Chief Guest Lt.Col.R. Muruganatham, Indian Army, followed by the National Anthem. The entire gathering stood in solemn respect, marking the significance of the day and remembering the sacrifices of our freedom fighters. A major highlight of the celebration was the impressive March Past performed by the NCC cadets. The cadets, dressed in their immaculate uniforms, displayed remarkable discipline, coordination, and dedication. Their synchronized movements and confident commands reflected rigorous training and strong team spirit. Adding grandeur to the occasion, the cadets presented a Special Drill Performance, which captivated the audience. The drill demonstrated precision, unity, and professionalism, showcasing the cadets’ physical fitness and commitment to excellence. The performance was met with loud applause and appreciation from the dignitaries and attendees. In his address, the Chief Guest emphasized the importance of constitutional values, unity in diversity, and the responsibility of youth in nation-building. The speech inspired students to uphold the principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity enshrined in the Constitution of India.The celebration at SRM Institute of Science and Technology truly reflected patriotic spirit, discipline, and collective pride, leaving everyone motivated and inspired to serve the nation with dedication and integrity.

Mr. Sabarish S (III B.Tech – Biotechnology) and Mr. Vijaay A.R. (III B.Com) achieved the Silver Medal
at the
50th State Shooting Competition held at Saragarhi Shooting Academy, GNC College. Their outstanding performance and dedication are highly commendable, and they have also been selected to Participate in the National Firing Competition, bringing pride and recognition to the institution.

Mr. Karthikeyan (II B.Tech – IT) successfully participated in the INF Attachment Camp (Phase–II) with the 4/8 Gorkha Rifles at Banaswadi, Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Ms. Janani K (III B.Tech – EEE) successfully participated in and completed the Basic Leadership Camp held at Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, from 25 July 2025 to 05 August 2025.

Ms. Janani K (III B.Tech – EEE) and Ms. Aarna Agarwal (III B.Tech – Cyber Security) participated in the RDC–IGC Camp (Best Cadets Event) held at Idyaapatti, Madurai, during 2025 and 2024. Their commendable performance, discipline, and dedication are truly appreciable and reflect great credit on themselves and the institution


NCC student Mr. Sabarish from second year of B.Tech- Biotechnology has won 3 bronze medals in the state level IDSSC shooting competition.

NCC cadets Mr. Vamshi (II B.Tech – CSE) and Ms. Aarna Agarwal (II B.Tech – Cyber Security) were awarded the Best Cadet title at the ATC Camp conducted by the 2 TN Battalion at Anna University.

Mr. Sabarish, a second-year Biotechnology student, was felicitated by the Group Commander in recognition of his outstanding achievement in a state-level shooting competition.
